Internship as Pricing Actuary (m/f/d)

WHO WE LOOK FOR

For this internship, we are looking for a motivated and analytically minded student who wants to gain hands-on experience in pricing and actuarial topics by supporting hepster’s Pricing Management team and contributing to the further development of our insurance products within a data-driven environment.

The internship should last 3-6 months and can start on March 1, 2026.

YOUR FUTURE WORK TASKS

As an intern in Pricing Management, you will support the team in operational and strategic pricing-related topics:

Analysis of portfolio and market data to derive pricing insights
Participation in portfolio and profitability analyses
Preparation of results for decision-making (e.g. management presentations)
Close collaboration with Product and Portfolio Management Team

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Enrolled student in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a comparable field
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
High interest in pricing, insurance, and data-driven decision-making
First experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, R, Python, SQL) is a plus
English is a must-have; German skills at B1 level are sufficient
Structured, independent working style and high willingness to learn

Für dieses Praktikum suchen wir eine motivierte und analytisch denkende Studentin bzw. einen motivierten und analytisch denkenden Studenten, der bzw. die das Pricing Management von hepster unterstützt und aktiv an der Weiterentwicklung unserer Versicherungsprodukte in einem datengetriebenen Umfeld mitwirkt. Das Praktikum sollte 3-6 Monate umfassen und kann ab 01.03.2026 starten.

DEIN ZUKÜNFTIGES AUFGABENFELD

Als Praktikant:in im Pricing Management unterstützt du das Team bei operativen und strategischen Fragestellungen rund um Pricing und Profitabilität:

Analyse von Portfolio- und Marktdaten zur Ableitung von Pricing-Insights
Mitwirkung bei Portfolio- und Profitabilitätsanalysen
Aufbereitung von Analyseergebnissen für Entscheidungszwecke (z. B. Management-Präsentationen)
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produkt- und Portfolio-Management

WAS WIR VON DIR ERWARTEN

Eingeschriebene:r Student:in der Mathematik, Wirtschaftsmathematik, Statistik, Versicherungsmathematik oder eines vergleichbaren Studiengangs
Ausgeprägte analytische und logische Denkweise
Hohes Interesse an Pricing, Versicherungen und datengetriebenen Entscheidungsprozessen
Erste Erfahrungen mit Datenanalyse-Tools (z. B. Excel, R, Python, SQL) von Vorteil
Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse erforderlich; Deutschkenntnisse auf B1-Niveau ausreichend
Strukturierte, selbstständige Arbeitsweise sowie hohe Lernbereitschaft
